Ramboll announces changes to the Group Executive Board
To enhance agility and strengthen commercial leadership Ramboll changes the composition of the Group Executive Board.

To become more agile and strengthen commercial leadership Ramboll now simplifies the executive leadership structure and introduces a new role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on the Group Executive Board. The CCO will hold end-to-end responsibility for the commercial agenda, including go-to-market model, client prioritisation and commercial enablement.
The change also means that the current Group Chief Operating Officer role will cease to exist. All Managing Directors for Ramboll’s Geographies will report directly to the CCO. All Managing Directors for Ramboll’s Global Business Areas will report directly to the Group CEO.
“With the change we enhance agility by simplifying our leadership structure and moving the executive team closer to our operation, clients, and people. At the same time, we significantly strengthen our commercial leadership at executive level”, says Group CEO Christian Jensby.
“Though the existing executive structure has guided the development of Ramboll well, we believe that these changes are key to our future success. They will enable us to focus even more on our clients and respond faster to their needs and priorities, leveraging our global expertise in our delivery”, says Chair of Group Board of Directors Claus Hemmingsen.
Peter Heymann Andersen will assume the new role as CCO. Peter has been a member of the Group Executive Board for the past five years as COO and has held senior leadership positions at Ramboll for more than 20 years.
As a result of the revised executive structure, Michael Simmelsgaard will be leaving Ramboll. As COO for the past five years Michael has had significant impact on the development of Ramboll. This includes strengthening Ramboll’s footprint in the Americas and Germany, establishing Ramboll Tech, and making Ramboll a leading consultancy in Environment & Health as well as in Water through the recent acquisition of Envidan.
As part of the change, it has been decided that there is a need for a different profile in the CFO role. Consequently, Eva Kienle will also be leaving Ramboll. Eva joined Ramboll as CFO in 2025 with responsibility for Finance, Procurement, Legal, Business Integrity and Workplace
“I would like to thank Michael and Eva for their contributions to Ramboll. I wish them both the very best for the future”, says CEO Christian Jensby.
Until a new permanent CFO is in place, Sr. Group Director, Corporate Development, Michael Harboe-Jørgensen, will serve as acting CFO.
The Group Executive Board now consists of Chief Executive Officer Christian Jensby, Chief Financial Officer Michael Harboe-Jørgensen (acting), Chief Commercial Officer Peter Heymann Andersen and Chief People Officer Lone Tvis.
