Ramboll receives all regulatory approvals for acquisition of Envidan — parties to finalise transaction

Ramboll today confirms that all required regulatory approvals have been obtained for its intended acquisition of the Nordic water and wastewater specialist Envidan. With clearances in place, the parties will now proceed to finalise the transaction.

The global architecture, engineering and consultancy company Ramboll is acquiring Envidan from the European private equity firm Waterland and a group of minority shareholders. With regulatory approvals secured, the parties will now proceed to complete the transaction and begin merger planning to ensure a smooth transition for clients, employees and partners.

Envidan, which has offices across Denmark, Norway and Sweden, delivers consultancy services and sustainable solutions across the entire water cycle. The company operates across three core business areas: consulting, turnkey and software. Envidan brings additional capabilities as a technology-driven engineering specialist committed to delivering environmental impact across projects related to climate adaptation, water treatment and distribution, and wastewater management.

The acquisition brings together Envidan’s 500 specialists and Ramboll’s global water experts and strengthens Ramboll’s presence in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Following completion, Ramboll’s international technical consultancy will have further reinforced its capabilities within climate adaptation, water infrastructure, water resources management and water and wastewater treatment, growing to more than 1,500 experts within the Water division.

Further details on completion and merger will be shared in due course.
